Key Project Details:
Kode Contracting Ltd has been producing aggregates for the new construction of Pretivm’s Brucejack Mine. Brucejack mine is located 80km north of the town of Stewart. The crushing plant is situated beside Brucejack Lake. The mine site is located over 13km of Glacier and receives an annual snowfall of 50ft a year. Kode Contracting produced all aggregates required for construction of the mine which has included 3”WGB, 1” minus, bedding sand, Rip Rap, filter rock, and other products and services.
Logistic challenges of the mine site requires Kode Contracting to use specialized equipment to produce concrete aggregates out of blast rock on site to reduce transportation costs for the mine. We have successfully produced 20,000 tonnes of 20-5mm concrete aggregates out of blast rock onsite. Kode has used specialty equipment to cube and shape the concrete aggregates so that the product meets specifications for the concrete foundation of the new mine.
